Where there's a twill, there's a way...
Wednesday 3rd
Earlier this year, my co-host and promoter of The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive for the last 3 years came under new ownership, and the new owners backed out. I seriously considered giving up, but as I did, I started sending silly memes to reconnect with some friends and cheer myself up. One of those friends thanked me for the laugh and shared that their son had died by suicide in the recent past. I was one of the first people outside the family to know. That settled it. Toronto needed to have a 2025 fundraising drive to benefit Movember Canada because too many men die each year from completely preventable causes.
I reached out to the car communities I participate in, and they showed up. The Ontario Z-Car, and BMW CCA Trillium clubs helped map some secret squirrel routes, the Vaulture Sunday Classic crew is helping promote. We have locked in a destination and a dinner spot for the finish. We’re on for 2025, and we’re targeting 50 cars to smash our past fundraising totals.
Now it's on you. If you own a car circa 1985 or older (including run-on production, that means even 1999 classic Mini Coopers count) and you want to raise money for Movember, sign up, dress dapper, and come cruise with us for a great cause.
Bring your style, your smiles, and your co-driver. Together, we can help stop men from dying too young.
Spots will go fast. Hit the signup link and get on the grid:
If you want to help support the cause, but can't attend, please donate to my fundraising efforts here!
Thank you for the support, the laughs, and the horsepower, and I hope to see you out on the road in September 28th in your Sunday best!
Getting behind the wheel for The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive
Saturday 21st
On Sunday, September 28th 2025, I'll be taking part in The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive. Together with thousands of classic car enthusiasts around the world, I will be raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health for the charity, Movember.
Before the dapper day, I'll be looking to raise as much as possible for the cause, to help men around the world live happier and healthier lives. With men's chances of developing prostate cancer later in life increasing, and one man dying every minute by suicide, we must do all we can to prevent more men from suffering.
This is something that affects us all and together, we can make a change. Please give what you can.
