10k for 10 years!

Thanks for following the link! I have been humbled for the last two years to receive donations sufficient to position me as the leading fundraiser in Australia for 2 years in a row, and third in the world for 2 years in a row - together we have raised over $10,000 for Movember; bringing funds to mens mental health services and prostate cancer research. 

This year is extra special to me. I am doing the drive with the family of my friend who died 10 years ago - they are bringing an old Plymouth and a Valiant along on the day, so I have shifted to a muscle car approach (leaving the Datsun in the shed this year!) and will be taking my 1976 Ford Fairlane out on the road. 

The Fairlane is also special to me. My first car was 1976 ZH Fairlane with a 302ci V8 engine, which I bought off my uncle Jim by working in his tool shop for him. I sold it not long after buying it, before getting it on the road, thinking I got a good deal at the time, and have never lived down the regret. I found this example (Lainey, in white, 351ci Cleveland V8) in Mudgee, after missing out on the sale of the same car 12 months prior when it was in Woollongong. 

The drive is about family this year - about my mate Brad, and his parents and brother coming together in his memory, and about my uncle Jim, who is the only man alive more disappointed than I am about the regretful sale of his gorgeous, Neptune Blue, 3 speed column shift axe, the First Fairlane.

Getting behind the wheel for The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive

Monday 4th On Sunday, September 28th 2025, I'll be taking part in The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive. Together with thousands of classic car enthusiasts around the world, I will be raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health for the charity, Movember.

Before the dapper day, I'll be looking to raise as much as possible for the cause, to help men around the world live happier and healthier lives. With men's chances of developing prostate cancer later in life increasing, and one man dying every minute by suicide, we must do all we can to prevent more men from suffering.

This is something that affects us all and together, we can make a change. Please give what you can.
