Additional Information

Hi Everyone,

Hi everyone, great to have you take part in the Gold Coast edition of the DGD. Everyone seemed to enjoy last year's format, so I figure if it's not broke, dont fix it. So we will do the same as last year, start at Carrara, finish at the Museum for a bite to eat and display our cars.

We will meet at the boat ramp carpark at Emerald Lakes, Carrara at 8am. It has a great backdrop of European style buildings across the lake for a few photos. If you want to get there a bit earlier I suggest you have a look in the main area of Emerald Lakes, it is very picturesque and great for photos for single or a small number of cars. There's also a cafe to grab the early morning coffee if you want, I think the Gloria Jeans opens at 7am.

We will then drive from Emerald Lakes to the Gold Coast Motoring Museum at Upper Coomera who will be expecting us. There is a great restaurant there that does breakfast until 10.30 and lunch from 11.30. Scones and coffee only in between those times.

They will have an area for us to park the cars on the grass for people to admire the cars.

I have included a Google Maps link to show the route. I suggest if a few of you all travel fronm the same area, join up and come in convoy, it looks great when you arrive.

I look forward to meeting you all and catching up with some of the drivers from previous years. Remember to get in to the spirit of the drive and dress accordingly. Only 5 weeks to go, we only have 4 of us registered, so plaese spread the word and lets try and get a good bunch of people to take part.

Cheers,

Bill
